Petros, hypatos, second half 11th-1st half 12th century. Seal (Lead, 21 mm, 13.53 g, 12 h). Θ / ΓH/Ⲱ/[P]-Γ/I/O, Nimbate facing bust of Saint George, holding spear over his right shoulder and resting shield on his left arm. Rev. +T VΠAT / CKЄΠOI, / MЄ ΠЄ Ⲱ / MAP, ("O Martyr, may you protect me, Petros, hypatos", a twelve-syllable verse). Apparently unpublished. Rough surfaces, otherwise, very fine.
