'La ilah / illa Allah / wahdahu' ('There is no God but Allah, alone' in Kufic); around, 'Amara bihi 'abd-Allah al-Walid Amir al-Mu'minin' ('ordered by the Servant of God al-Walid, Commander of the Faithful' in Kufic). Rev. 'Muhammad / Rasul / Allah' ('Muhammad is the Prophet of God' in Kufic); around, 'bism Allah duriba hadha'l-fals bi-dimashq fi sana sab' wa thamanin' ('in the name of Allah this fals was struck in Dimashq in the year seven and eighty' in Kufic).
