A very scarce type from the Provincial Bank of Ireland, issued in Northern Ireland in the 1950s. The Provincial Bank first issued banknotes in the late 1920s, but its banknote issuance remained relatively small throughout most of its history. This pleasing 5 Pound note is tied for finest in the PMG population report with one other example.
