COLOMBIA. 2 Reales, 1822-P O. Pasto Mint. Ferdinand VII. PCGS Genuine--Environmental Damage, VG Details Gold Shield.
KM-74; Restrepo-115.1. Two pellets after date. A very crude strike and featuring the bust of Ferdinand's predecessor, Charles IV, this example was previously attributed to Popayan, though now known to be coined at Pasto (in Ecuador) instead, using equipment evacuated from Popayan when the city fell to Bolivar. Well handled and with some obvious issues, but also incredibly RARE and interesting.
Estimate: $200.00- $300.00
