Whiting-696; Henckel-3088; Marienburg-3840. By J. L. Jachtmann. Obverse: Bust of Joachim II right; Reverse: Chalice with radiant communion wafer; candlestick to left and right. A vibrant violet-brown example, with some hints of cobalt and a good deal of shimmering luster. Tied with just one other for the other examples of this type in the PCGS census.
