GREAT BRITAIN. Edward VIII "Coronation" Silver Medal, "1937". PCGS SPECIMEN-63 Gold Shield.
CM-185f. An interesting type alluding to the coronation of Edward VIII, this piece occupies the arena of 'what if,' as the event never actually occurred. The king abdicated in favor of his younger brother, who would becomes George VI, in order to marry American divorcee, Wallis Simpson. Attractively toned, and the only example of the type in the PCGS census.
Estimate: $40.00- $60.00
