A fairly RARE offering from this interesting trial series meant to test the new coining presses at the mint--as well as various planchet modules and compositions--this dazzling near-Gem features Britannia as Moneta, Roman goddess of coining, on the obverse, with a simple number "2" on the reverse. Blazing and brilliant, with a violet and cobalt nature for more character.
