KINGS OF MACEDON. Alexander III 'the Great', 336-323 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 31 mm, 16.34 g, 10 h), struck posthumously, Aspendos, year KB = 22 = 191-190. Head of Herakles right, wearing lion's skin headdress. Rev. ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ Zeus seated left, holding eagle in his outstretched right hand, scepter in his left; AΣ above date in left field. DCA 312. Price 2901. Lightly toned. Very fine.
