KINGS OF MACEDON. Philip III Arrhidaios, 323-317 BC. Drachm (Silver, 17 mm, 4.17 g, 12 h), Kolophon. Head of Herakles to right, wearing lion's skin headdress. Rev. ΦIΛIΠΠOY Zeus seated left on low throne, holding long scepter in his left hand and, in his right, eagle standing right with closed wings; in left field, monogram of ΠA; below throne, B. Price P48. Lightly toned and of good style. Very fine.
