BAKTRIA, Indo-Greek Kingdom. Strato I, circa 105-85/0 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 27 mm, 8.60 g, 12 h). ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΕΠΙΦΑΝΟΥΣ ΣΩΤΗΡΟΣ ΣΤΑΡΤΩΝΟΣ Diademed and draped bust of Strato I to right, wearing crested Boeotian helmet decorated with a bull's horn. Rev. Maharajasa prakashasa tratarasa / Stratasa (in Kharosthi). Athena Alkidemos advancing to left, brandishing thunderbolt with her left hand and with a shield over her right arm; in lower left field, monogram. Bopearachchi 28A. HGC 12, 335. SNG ANS -. Porous, and with heavy scratches, otherwise, very fine.
