SYRIA, Seleucis and Pieria. Emesa. Uranius Antoninus, usurper, 253-254. Tetradrachm (Billon, 26.5 mm, 10.22 g, 1 h). AYTO K COYΛΠ ANTΩNINOC CE Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Uranius Antoninus to right, seen from behind. Rev. ΔHMAPX ΕΞ OYCIAC YΠA TO / B / S C Eagle with spread wings standing facing, head to left and holding wreath in beak. Prieur 1053A = RPC 1884.3 (same dies). Very rare, only three specimens noted in the RPC. Dark brownish-black patina. Good fine.
