Aelia Pulcheria, Augusta, 414-453. Solidus (Gold, 21 mm, 4.26 g, 6 h), struck under Theodosius II, Constantinople, 441-450. AEL PVLCH - ERIA AVG Draped and diademed bust of Pulcheria to right, crowned by Hand of God above, wearing pearl necklace, earrings and with an elaborate brooch on her shoulder. Rev. IMP XXXXII COS - XVII P P / COMOB Constantinopolis enthroned to left, holding globus cruciger in her right hand and scepter in her left; in left field, star. Depeyrot 84/3. RIC 316. Scratches, some smoothing and a probable plugged hole, otherwise, good fine.
