Tetarteron nomisma (Gold, 20 mm, 4.00 g, 6 h), Constantinople. +ΘΚΕ ΒΟΗΘ / MHP ΘV Facing bust of the Theotokos, orans, holding nimbate bust of the infant Christ; pear-shaped ornament to left and right of Virgin's nimbus, pellets replacing arms of cross behind Christ's head. Rev. +ΜΙΧΑΗΛ S ΜΑΡΙΑ Crowned facing busts of Michael and Maria, holding between them a long cross with an X and pellet-in-crescent on shaft. DOC 5d. SB 1871. Flan crack, otherwise, good fine.
