Isaac II Angelus, first reign, 1185-1195. (27 mm, 4.17 g, 6 h). MHP - ΘV The Virgin enthroned facing, nimbate and wearing maphorion, holding before her the nimbate head of the infant Christ. Rev. ΙCΑΑΚΙΟC ΔΕC - X/AP/X/M Isaac standing facing on the left, holding cruciform scepter in right hand and with left holds sword being presented by St. Michael standing on the right; above; manus Dei. DOC 1c. SB 2001. Well-centered with a bold strike. Scratches on the rims, otherwise, very fine.
