Diva Faustina I (wife of A. Pius) Fourée(?) Mule Denarius. Rome, circa AD 141-161. DIVA FAVSTINA, draped bust to right / COS IIII, Ceres standing facing, head to left, holding grain ears and sceptre. RIC III -, cf. 409 (Pius) for different reverse type; RSC -; BMCRE -. 2.85g, 15mm, 4h.

Good Fine. Extremely Rare and unpublished hybrid coin.

Purchased from Fritz Rudolf Künker GmbH & Co. KG, October 2007.

This hybrid coin, utilising an obverse of Diva Faustina I and a reverse of Antoninus Pius, which is likely also a fourée as it somewhat underweight, would therefore align with Rice's example for 409, another hybrid coin with a different reverse type.
