A handsomely bound copy of a very scarce publication. Pierre-Charles Robert died on December 15, 1887, leaving this work unfinished. His friend Raymond Serrure completed it from his manuscript and notes, and saw the project through the publication process, first in the Annuaire de la Société française de numismatique, and then (as here) in book form.
