Farquhar, Helen. PORTRAITURE OF OUR STUART MONARCHS ON THEIR COINS AND MEDALS. Seven parts, complete. London: Extracted from the British Numismatic Journal, 1908–1915. Bound in one volume along with four shorter articles published in the BNJ by other writers. Thick Crown 4to, contemporary maroon cloth, spine lettered "B.N.J. / 4" in gilt; page edges speckled red. Main work approximately 522 pages; illustrated. Some foxing; a bit musty. Very good or so. An important work, published in seven consecutive volumes of the British Numismatic Journal. Helen Farquhar (1859–1953) was a founding member of the British Numismatic Society and published extensively in its journal. A single-volume offprint edition of this work exists, but had it been published in more conventional book form, there is little doubt Farquhar's writing on the subject would be better known today.
