DEWISMES. Saint-Omer, 22 mars 1875 et jours suivants. Tall, thick 8vo, contemporary red half morocco with marbled sides; spine with four raised bands, ruled and lettered in gilt; marbled endpapers. (2), xviii, 464 pages; 15 lithographic plates depicting coins; original printed prices realized list, with buyers' names indicated, bound in. Stain to fore-edge; minor rubbing and foxing. Very good or better. The large-paper edition of this massive and well-produced catalogue, with 15 lithographic plates depicting coins offered in the sale. Dewismes (1799–1873) was a specialist in Flemish coins and antiquities. The plates derive from his Numismatique flamande. Engel & Serrure 2175: "Un certain nombre d'exemplaires de ce catalogue ont été tirés sur papier de grand format; ces exemplaires sont accompagnés des 15 planches de monnaies de Flandre dont nous avons parlé ci-dessus."
