Ran Zander Fixed Price Lists
Zander, Randolph. COIN LISTS. Alexandria, 1956–1973. Two hundred fifteen lists, being Nos. 26–227, lacking only Nos. 27 and 206 for completion; also included are 15 supplementary lists. Four lists are old photocopies made at the ANS Library; the rest are original duplicated typescripts, ranging from single sheets printed on both sides to 8-page lists. Folded for mailing and with typical wear, including a few with pages loose from staples. The staples are generally rusted. Very good or so, overall. A nearly complete set of these ephemeral publications, important mostly in retrospect and hence infrequently saved. Zander was a notable dealer in word coins, and was perhaps the foremost specialist in Russian coins of his time. Runs are infrequently offered: the only comparable set of these that we recall having handled was Zander's own set of lists, sold as part of our 2014 sale of the Quentin Archer Library (Sale 131, lot 163) for $1000 hammer.
