Unpublished Manuscript on Numismatics of the French Revolution
Kraft, Raoul. HISTOIRE DE LA RÉVOLUTION FRANÇAISE ILLUSTRÉE PAR LA MONNAIE ET LA MÉDAILLE. Rolle, 1979. 4to, brown quarter morocco; spine lettered in gilt. Original manuscript with generally photographic illustrations clipped and mounted into place throughout. Title and authorial photo mounted on opening pastedown and flyleaf; (2), 19 leaves of handwritten text, mostly illustrated with mounted photographs; 8 plates of mounted photographs with handwritten captions; 6 pages of handwritten notes on ruled paper laid in. Binding a bit scuffed at spine; some leaves stained from adhesive. Very good. According to Richard E. Margolis's handwritten note on the front pastedown: "This is a manuscript listing prepared by Raoul Kraft, originally of Geneva, & subsequently retired to Rolle, of some of the coins, tokens, medals, designs, etc., highlights of his former collection. It was presented to REM in Rolle, June 2, 1979, & subsequently bound."
