Oliver Cromwell, Shilling, 1658, by Thomas Simon, laureate and draped bust left, rev. crowned shield, edge straight milled, 6.00g, 6h (Spink 3228; Lessen J28; ESC 254 [1005]; Pywell-Phillips 4), a most handsome coin with pleasing 'gunmetal' cabinet tone overlying reflective surfaces, a touch of rub to highest points and usual flaw above forehead, otherwise almost extremely fine, in NGC 'Francis' holder, graded MS62 (Cert. #5878643-013).
