William IV, Sovereign, 1837, second bare head right, W.W. slightly doubled incuse on truncation, lower part of WW open and "flows" into field, rev die axis slightly off-centre, crowned quartered shield of arms, with the arms of Hanover as an escutcheon, date below, lightly doubled, 7.98g (Marsh 21; MCE 494; S 3829B). Hairlined, pleasing extremely fine and a rare date.
