Anglo-Saxon England, Secondary Series (710-760), Sceat, Series J, type 37, crude diademed heads in profile, with braided hair, long cross on pedestal between, double beaded border, rev. whorl of four linear birds forming clockwise cross around central cross pommée, 1.10g (SL 19-30; SCBI 69, 386 this coin; T&S pp. 353-5, 296-300; Gannon 37-9, 73, 86, no. 51, 107, no. 5, 110-11, 160, and Figs. 2.19, 4.3a; North 135; Spink 802A obv. plate coin), the reverse somewhat off-centre, otherwise toned, good very fine.
