Anglo-Saxon England, Secondary Series (710-760), Sceat, Series T derivative, type 9, 'Monita Scorvm' issue, diademed bust of fine style right, wreath ties behind, wearing jewelled robe, MONITA SCORVM around head, rev. quilled crescent left, thin body enclosing four pelleted bars left, beaded border, 1.20g, 270° (SL 24-30; T&S pp. 435-6, 348; Naismith, 2014a, in SEMC3, pp. 68-121; SCBI 69, 531 this coin; Gannon 17, no. 84, 132, 175, 180-1, 189, no. 62, 190, no. 71, Figs. 5.23, 5.28b; MEC 8 Series LEa; North 80; Spink 824), somewhat waterworn but a fuller legend reading than the last, a pleasing very fine and most collectable example of this iconic type.
