Anglo-Saxon England, Secondary Series (710-760), Sceat, C ARIP variety, 'Hwiccian' style, diademed and draped bust right, almond-shaped eye, SISCO before bust, rev. standing figure looking right, head cowled, wearing long tunic, holding long cross pommée either side, on groundline, 1.01g, 90° (SL 26-60; SCBI 69, 505 this coin; T&S pp. 416-21, 336-40; Gannon 76, 87, 95, 98, 140 no. 231, 181, 189, no. 62, and Figs. 3.19c, 3.22a, 4.48b; North 69; Spink 820 plate coin), slight surface porosity, otherwise dark tone, very fine, extremely rare.
