Reculver), diademed and mantled bust right, jewel on diadem and upcurved drapery cuirass (?), wreath ties unknotted, almond-shaped eye, globus cruciger before, bust framed by beading, rev. Lion head right, chevron mane, round eye, ear forward, distinct sharp teeth, long curling snake-tongue, pellets above, 1.08g, 0° (SCBI 69, 424 this coin; Gannon 59, no. 237, 64-5, 131-2, 134, 135, 139, 156, 178, no. 155, 189, no. 62, Figs. 2.48b, 2.49a, 2.58, 4.35b, 4.36a, 4.36d; North 93; Spink 803), slight porosity nonetheless enticing, good very fine.
