Anglo-Saxon England, Secondary Series (710-760), Sceat, Series O, type 40 or Q1X/Series E or C, Monster right, looking back, one claw beneath, other raised to back of head, tail raised below jaw, pellets in field, rev. beaded votive standard with central pellet in annulet, cross pommée to each side, 0.90g, 165° (SL 57-20 plate coin; Abramson, 2008, Fig. 42; SCBI 69, 608 this coin; Spink 807D), slightly waterworn, otherwise well-centred, very fine and very rare.
