Anglo-Saxon England, Secondary Series (710-760), Sceat, Animal Mask Group, feline or fox head facing, body in left field with pellet outline, 2½ annulets in right field, 2 between ears and one between whiskers, rev. saltire pommée with central annulet quartering inner circle, with Ys in quadrants, 1.03g (SL 112-50 plate coin; SCBI 69, 822 this coin; T&S pp. 446-8, 354-6; Gannon 133, 134-5, 185, Fig. 4.39; Spink 829 plate coin) of solid fabric with attractive toning, a tad off-struck, otherwise good very fine, exceedingly rare.
