Anglo-Saxon England, Continental Series (695-740), Sceat, Series E, variety C, quilled crescent coiled left, enclosing four pelleted, pointed bars, rev. disguised cross, unbalanced voided cross within beaded standard, enclosing pellet cross with central pellet-in-annulet and pellets in quadrants, striations above and below, line of pellets in right margin, 1.10g (SL 95-10 plate coin; Abramson, 2012a, Fig 23; 2012b, Fig 5; SCBI 69, 273 this coin; T&S pp. 222-42; JMP 96-7; Spink 790D), superb fabric and a beautifully rendered geometric design, extremely fine and very rare.
