Anglo-Saxon England, Primary Series (680-710), Sceat, Series A (A3), type 2a, radiate head right with curved exergual drapery, annulet and TIC before, rev. degenerate votive standard, tufa above containing pellet, unusual cross below, 1.20g, 90° (SL 3-40; SCBI 69, 36 this coin; T&S pp. 85-9, 92-6; Gannon: 43-4, 43 nos. 144, 47, 48; nos. 173, 55, 172, 177; nos. 143, 183, 184, and no. 18; Figs. 2.29a and 5.19a; North 40; Spink 775), a little off centre, otherwise nicely patinated, good very fine.
