Burgundy, Pseudo-Imperial (c. 525-575), AV Tremissis, in the style of Justinian, Lugdunum (Lyon [?]), N IVSTIANVS PP V, diademed and draped bust right, rev. VICTORIA + AVGVSTORVM, Victory with palm and wreath advancing right, single wing behind, pellet between feet, CONOB in exergue, 1.47g, 180° (SCBI 69, 1073 this coin), well-centred, very fine with some residual lustre.

This coin is inscribed with the name of Emperor Justinian (527-565) and conceivably relates to the earliest emissions from the kingdom of Burgundia (seized by the Franks in AD 534) on account of its high gold content. The pellet between Victoria's feet has previously been identified as a mint mark for Lyon.
