Anglo-Saxon England, Primary Series (680-710), Sceat, Series B (BIIIA3), triple diademed head right, crescent ear, long pointed nose with extended chin and pellet lips, beaded outer circle, rev. pellet before impressionistic outline of bird right atop cross pommée, flanked by pellet-in-annulet and trefoil of pellets, double beaded circle, 0.95g. 45° (SL 16-80; Abramson, 2012b, plate; SCBI 69, 74 this coin; T&S pp. 158-65, 156-7; Gannon 36, 47, 48, no. 173, 107-10, 112, 136, 184, 184, no. 18, and Figs. 2.18a, 4.1b, and 4.5; North 125; Spink 777B), a most handsome type coin, extremely fine, rare in this condition.
