Anglo-Saxon England, Secondary Series (710-760), Sceat, Series R11, Rigold type R2, Tilberht, crude radiate bust right, crescent ear, elongated lips, runic TILBERHT before with letters forming drapery, also pellet-in-annulet before and two behind separated by ^, rev. beaded standard containing pellet-in-central annulet, symmetrical Ts, cross pommée to each side, diagonals at outer corners, 0.95g (SL 11-170; Abramson, 2012b, Fig 12c; SCBI 69, 692 this coin; T&S pp. 518-22, 426-8; Gannon 24, 43-5, 43, nos. 144, 45, nos. 151, 55, 56, 60, 160, nos. 30, 168, nos. 85, 172, 174, 175-6, 191, and Figs. 2.30, 2.31, 2.46, 2.47, 5.5e, 5.19c; cf. North 157; Spink 813A), a lovely example, almost extremely fine, very rare.
