Anglo-Saxon England, Secondary Series (710-760), Sceat, Series Q/R mule, modelled bust of fine style right, crescent ear, mane of hair, cross pommée before, neckline of runes (?), rev. beaded degenerate standard enclosing right angles and central pellet-in-annulet unbarred cross pommée to each side, diagonals at corners, 0.70g (SL 12-30; Abramson, 2008, Fig. 19a; SCBI 69, 700 this coin; Gannon: 191-2, Fig. 6.3; Spink 812B), slight surface porosity, otherwise a bold very fine, rare.
