COUNTERMARKED COINS: TURKEY: AE 5 para, ND, Wilski-GN-05, incuse countermark X 5 ("5 thousand"), on obverse of 5 para AH1277 year 4, pierced, VF on worn host, ex Hans Wilski Collection. Wilski knew of only 3 examples with this countermark. He notes that this type is always in very bad condition, and suggests they were used as tokens in Greek coffee shops before 1954.
