Blacksmith copper 1/2 Penny Token Mint Split Planchet Error ND F12 NGC, BL-5, Wo-6. 2.67gm. The planchet is exceptionally thin and Bowers and Merena, in their Frederick B. Taylor Collection called it an "obverse brockage." NGC calls it "Reverse Half of Split Planchet." We are not 100% certain on this piece, but we tend to go along with NGC and their grading as a "Split Planchet." The harp is extremely bold and possibly the finest example of a harp on any other Wo-6. Ex. Bowers and Merena Frederick B. Taylor auction, March 27, 1987 and part of the Warren Baker Blacksmith Token Collection.
