Blacksmith-style copper Penny Token ND Certified as GENUINE by NGC, BL-15 (Extremely Rare) (This Piece), Wo-Unl, Haxby-60+KK. This piece is approximately 50 degrees clockwise from medal alignment. In the Charlton listing under Ref. Nos. for this type, it states, "Not previously listed." The obverse shows a bust right while the reverse displays a rather crude seated Britannia. Numerous marks, on both sides are noted. Exceedingly Rare, with only two pieces known; this piece and the example in the Douglas Robins Collection, Lot 29379. Ex. The Warren Baker Collection of Blacksmith Tokens, sold by Bowers and Merena on 3-27-87, Lot 1085, as part of the Frederick B. Taylor Collection.
