Blacksmith copper 1/2 Penny Token ND Certified GENUINE by NGC, BL-46 (Extremely Rare), Wo-28a, Plain edge. Coin alignment. From the Warren Baker Blacksmith Collection, Lot 1067, part of the Bowers and Merena sale of the Frederick B. Taylor. The auction description read, "This combination of the Britannia reverse with the obverse of the Pack, Low-271 Hard Times Token was unknown to Wood. The inclusion of this combination in the Low numbering system by Russell Rulau in his Hard Times Tokens, 2nd. ed. was due to a report to Rulau by Baker. There are only four examples of Wood-28a, and one of these is in the Bank of Canada Collection.This offering of Wood-28a presents an extraordinary opportunity for students of blacksmiths and of Hard Times tokens." Missing from the Douglas Robins Collection.
