Northumbria, Eadberht, Secondary Phase (737-758), Sceat, class Ci, beaded borders, EOTBEREhTVl·, around tribrach rev. fantastic animal standing left, foreleg raised, tail looped, pointing down, pellet in loop, 1.08g, 0° (SL 70-100 plate coin; SCBI 69, 840 this coin; North 178; Spink 847 rev. plate coin), slight surface porosity and a trace of verdigris on a brighter elliptical flan, otherwise a bold very fine.
