CILICIA, Mopsos (Mopsuestia), (2nd - 1st century B.C.), AE 22, (9.14 g), obv. laureate head of Zeus to right, rev. **MOUEATWN/THSIEPAS* - KAI/AVTONOMOY OLBIO* lighted circular altar on tripod on lion's legs, IEW below, (S.-, BMC p.103, 4, SNG Levante 1309, SNG France 1942); Phoenicia, Marathos, (175-169 B.C.), AE 14 (2.48 g), obv. laureate and draped female bust to right, rev, Nike advancing to left, holding wreath in extended right hand, Phoenician inscription right, date on left (year 90 = 70-69 B.C.), (S.6041, BMC p.123, 24, cf.SNG Cop.162, HGC 10, 200[R2]). First with dark brown patination and rare, second with earthen patination and very rare, both very fine. (2)
