"The Mazda worshipper, the divine Shahpur, the king of kings of Iran who is descended from the Gods" in Pahlavi, crowned and cuirassed bust right, wearing diadem and mural crown with ear flap and korymbos, rev. "Fire of Shahpur" in Pahlavi (crude), fire altar with attendants wearing mural crowns, (Sellwood 12, SNS Type IIc/1a. Karlsson D4, Gobl I/1. cf.Sunrise 741). Toned, good very fine, rough surface.
