This 5 Pounds note offers copious amounts of appeal, and has no doubt earned its Gem Uncirculated grade from PMG. The ink on the obverse is found in flashy orange ink, with a colorful guilloche observed at center. The paper is bright and pack fresh. The reverse of the note displays an intricate design in dark orange and green ink, with good embossing noticed. Seldom do notes of this caliber trade hands publicly, or are even offered in this grade level from this series. Collectors would be hard pressed to find a more appealing example of this variety. PMG Pop 7/2 Finer. Interestingly, the following lot is consecutive to this note, and would make a good pairing for the advanced collector with this lot.
