JAPAN. 10 Yen, Year 4 (1871). Osaka Mint. Mutsuhito (Meiji). PCGS MS-62 Gold Shield.
Fr-46; KM-Y-12, JNDA-01-2. Doubled Die Reverse (DDR) variety. Fully struck with dazzling luster in the obverse fields and reverse fields that possess full prooflike reflectivity. Close inspection of that reverse also reveals that this coin was struck using doubles dies, with prominent doubling appearing in the flags, the stem and leave veins within the wreath, as well as the chrysanthemum at the top of the design.
