JAPAN. Koban, ND (ca. 1601-95). Keicho Era. PCGS Genuine--Chopmark, AU Details Gold Shield.
Fr-9.1; JNDA-09-13. Weight: 17.77 gms. 76.3 x 39 mm. An attractive and wholesome example of this tough to locate type, exhibiting light even wear with lovely pale golden tone displaying a nice sheen and areas of richer orange color near the edges. This nicely preserved survivor shows light signs of handling consistent for the grade with six tiny unobtrusive chopmarks on the reverse as is commonly encountered on early Kobans accounting for the details designation. Despite its shortcomings this charming and original looking early gold issue displays good eye appeal with much of character and lots of collector appeal.

Estimate: $6000.00- $8000.00
