(t) CHINA. Qing Dynasty. Henan. 100 Cash, ND (ca. 1854-55). Kaifeng or other local Mint. Emperor Wen Zong (Xian Feng). Graded "80" by Zhong Qian Ping Ji Grading Company.
Hartill-22.848; FD-2493; Jen-1637. Weight: 54.0 gms. "Xian Feng yuan bao"; Reverse: "Dang bai". This charming example of the type displays rich mottled brassy patina with minor earthen deposits amongst the devices offering much originality and a pleasing appearance. The bold high relief calligraphy is nicely formed and easily read with mostly intact rough surface texture in the open areas. The rims and edges show many edge bruises and abrasions commonly encountered on large-size cast issues of this nature. A handsome representative sure to be a welcome addition to the next collection it enters.

Estimate: $400.00- $600.00
