BMC-Appendices I stamps 2, 9 and 16. Weight: 402.0 gms. Added stamps "Xian Feng yuan nian" (Xianfeng period 1st year), "Yun nan sheng zao" (made in Yunnan province), "Zheng zhuang zu yin" (correct shop pure silver). This charming and interesting example displays a central stamp that was added at a later time, not contemporaneously to the time of manufacture. The stamps are deeply applied with oddly shaped calligraphy for the supposed time of manufacture adding another layer of interest. Though of a dubious nature this attractive example displays lovely light cabinet patina with nice iridescent sheen that pops out when tilted in the light adding to its pleasing appearance sure to add depth the next academic collection it enters.
