The reverse exhibits a minor, but quite interesting crescent shaped die characteristic noticed on the group of leaves above the end of the branch at about 5 o'clock becoming apparent upon close inspection with aid of magnification. Whether intended mark the die or due to degradation it is indeed intriguing, certain to catch the attention of Yuan Shih-kai specialists looking to expand their collections.
