CHINA. Nye Sze Chung Silver Medallic 50 Cents, Year 9 (1920). PCGS MS-63 Gold Shield.
LM-954; KMX-995. Featuring the military bust of General Nye Sze Chung, this medallic issue at the module of 50 Cents presents some steely gray brilliance and a subtle tone. Quite RARELY encountered, it is just a point short of our most recently offered example of the type, a PCGS MS-64 in our May 2020 Hong Kong auction (lot 41679), which sold for a total of $30,000 and exhibited a somewhat mottled nature to the toning. A great opportunity for a fantastically difficult piece with an awesome pedigree.
