"The coin was made to test out size o 2 krooni coins. The initial idea was to make the 2 krooni coins with the weight of 15 grams (just like in Denmark), but the weight was reduced to 12 grams before the production started." Kaupo Laan, Estonian coins, Monetary reform medals and trade tokens, 2020.
