Andronicus II Palaeologus, with Andronicus III. 1282-1328. AV Hyperpyron (20mm, 2.57 g, 6h). Class IIb. Constantinople mint. Struck 1325-1328 (or later). Half-length facing figure of the Theotokos, orans, within city walls with four towers; sigla: •/lis | A / Christ standing facing, crowning Andronicus II and Andronicus III, kneeling to left and right respectively. DOC 494; PCPC 185 (sigla 4); LPC p. 108, 1; SB 2461. Clipped, light scratches on obverse. Good VF.
